How we earn: affiliate disclosure

Referral commissions explained

This site contains affiliate links. We may earn a commission if you follow a link and make a booking/purchase or download, at no extra cost to you.

Olive-country rule of thumb: any link able to produce a commission carries rel="sponsored". Your rate at checkout stays exactly the same either way.

The owner relationship

Because the San Pasqual Band of Mission Indians owns Valley View Casino & Hotel as well as this website, a direct booking at the property benefits the same owner that publishes the review. That makes the review an owner's account, not an independent assessment.

What stays outside the money

Commissions have no vote over the text. Weak points sit right beside strong ones on the home page, and the two coastal-side hotels we mention belong to other owners and pay us nothing for the space.
